3D Model
This is a 3D model of River Plains that we have created to complement the limitations of our 2D analysis. 3D models are better able to capture the dynamic nature of shadows cast by the sun through the day, and better represent the vertical extent of light coverage offered by lamps. These advantages of 3D modelling offer a better perspective to our considerations of thermal comfort in the day and visibility at night, helping us to better identify problem areas and seek out more suitable improvements to be made.
This model could very well serve as a platform for park authorities to manage and improve the park, while also offering park users an immersive virtual experience to help them plan their activities for their trip to the park. In light of recent developments in crowdsourcing technology, users are also able to add comments on the 3D model of the park to share information or suggest improvements for authorities to consider.
Please allow it to load for about five to ten minutes!

- Note that light coverage layers should be toggled on after sunlight is set to 5.30pm (sunset) onwards
